Head of Technical Services
San Diego State University Library & Information Access seeks applications and nominations of dynamic, proactive, innovative, and service-oriented candidates for the position of Head of Technical Services. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, collegial, user-focused librarian who will be able to provide leadership for technical services and represents the department’s changing needs as we settle into a new consortial and local integrated library management system. This position will provide timely and strategic management of resource description and metadata activities to support the research, teaching, and learning needs of the university community. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall management and staff supervision of the division, including acquisitions, cataloging, physical processing, database and electronic resource maintenance, and processing of government publications.
Electronic Resources Librarian

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking individual to help develop the library’s electronic collections and services, while also taking the lead in public outreach and education efforts around electronic resources and services. As a faculty member, the Electronic Resources Librarian will be expected to engage in professional growth activities and participate in the shared governance of San Diego State University by serving on library, campus-wide, and California State University committees as needed.
Data Analytics Librarian
San Diego State University Library & Information Access seeks applications and nominations of dynamic, innovative, and service-oriented candidates for the position of Data Analytics Librarian. This position is located within the SDSU Library’s Information & Digital Technologies Division and will be appointed at the Senior Assistant Librarian rank. The Data Analytics Librarian will develop and promote Library services related to the discovery, evaluation, and manipulation of data and the use of statistical or other analytical tools. The incumbent will lead workshops, programs and other projects to support analytical research, and collaborate with colleagues to build capacity for the use of data and analytical methods across disciplines. The Data Analytics Librarian also serves as a research consultant, liaison, and collaborator with faculty and students in business and social science programs.

Rank and Salary: Appointments are normally made at the Assistant Librarian rank; current full-time salary range is $52,716 - $70,872 per year.

Administrative Analyst/Specialist (Non-Exempt), Library and Information Access.
Full-time, permanent (probationary)
Under general direction from the Director of Budget and Fiscal Operations, the Administrative Analyst/Specialist plays a key role in support of the Library and Information Access budget. This position produces and analyzes all monthly budget reports, completes financial reports and analysis at the request of administration, prepares budget transfer documents, reviews/approves monthly faculty and staff payroll attendance reporting, and prepares all documentation for Library travel. Additionally, this position serves as the library’s liaison with the Center for Human Resources for staff recruitment, payroll and benefits issues and processes various Human Resource documents. The successful incumbent will have the ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment.
